Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing and your vats will brim over with new wine. -Proverbs 3:9-10

You can’t outgive God.  You just can’t.  Live with open arms to your finances and watch God work.  Try him.  He promises in his word that if you honor him with your wealth, he will overflow your barns.  Truth.  Our God is so good and so generous.  We didn’t have hundreds of thousands of dollars to go adopt three boys.  God provided.  He always shows up.  It may be at the last minute with the last dollar that you need, but he always shows up.  When you bring your firstfruits and say, here you go, he blesses.  Abundantly. Richly.  Matt’s biggest concern when adding to our family was the financial aspect.  And rightly so.  That is A LOT of pressure to put on the man.  Asking him to double the size of our family in addition to all of the costs of the adoption was definitely crazy.  God asked us if we would do it.  It wasn’t easy to jump in and trust.  But we did and he provided.  He has continued to provide all that we need and more.  And we are so THANKFUL.

We can live generously right where we are at.  With what we have.  We can give the waiter or waitress a humongous tip.  We can give to nonprofits who are doing great work around the world.  We can give locally to organizations working in our city.  We just have to have the posture that this money isn’t ours and that God can provide more.  He can, he will, he promises.  I dare you to try it.  Try being over the top crazy generous and see what happens.  Pray about how God would use you and your money and be wild with it.  It will be so fun and so rewarding, I promise.  HE promises.

Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. -Malachi 3:10

Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. -2 Corinthians 9:6

  1. I LOVE this!!!! Such truth! ❤️ God has blown is away so many times with His provision. Only when we are living in a posture of extravagant generosity do we give Him a chance to blow us away with His goodness!
