Living Intentionally-Reading

I love to read.  I long to be intentional about making it a priority in my life.  I feel like reading is just so great to expand our knowledge and brain power.  It helps us write and speak more effectively.  My daughter is doing a book challenge and I am so inspired to do one with her.  I am going to challenge myself to read three or four books per month.  So, I better get reading!!!!

These are my most recent reads.  All different, all great!!  Barefoot church is pretty descriptive about what church should look like in this day and age.  For the Love is just incredible; you laugh and cry and are filled with joy.  Anything was so INSPIRING.  It moved me to put my brave pants on and march forward in all that God has for me.

These are in my room waiting to be read!  And I have an ongoing list.  I would love to hear from you all what you are reading and what you recommend.  As you can see I tend to go for mostly christian genres but I would love to branch out.  Please share some of your recommendations!!

Happy reading friends!!

  1. For the Love was epic! I loved Barefoot Church as well. Right now I am reading Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller. Have you read anything by him? I also love to read. Bridge to Haven by Francine Rivers was good. Maybe we should start swapping books 🙂 Have you read the Mark of the Lion series by Francine Rivers?

  2. Tessy, I have not read Blue Like Jazz or anything by Donald Miller. I can’t wait to check it out. I have not red Francine Rivers either. Thank you so much for the recommendations!!! 🙂
